Sensory Friendly Activities at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh

The next early-opening sensory friendly play date at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh will be happening on Saturday, June 10. The event will feature two of our most popular exhibits: The Nursery and Waterplay!

Please come!

  • Put on a raincoat to play in the rain,
  • Explore how a water wheel works,
  • Control the water with sprayers and shoots.

You don’t have to get wet unless you want to!  (Driers are available, but extra clothes are never a bad idea.)

In the Nursery you can play with a giant light-brite, glowing sand tables, a wooden train set, and more!

At 9am, program participants will enjoy exclusive access to the Museum’s Waterplay and Nursery exhibits for an hour before the Museum opens to the public at 10am. At 10am the fun continues in a private play space with water colors and more fun toys.

The number of tickets is limited and advance registration is required. Admission to the program includes access to the entire Museum from 10:00am to 5:00pm. A flexible refund policy is in effect for this program, so register early to reserve a space! Visit the calendar listing at https://pittsburghkids.org/events/3366/2017/6/10 for the link to online registration.
