Summer Isn’t Over Yet!

The Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh has weathered the storms of Summer 2019 by staying true to friends and soaking up the sun whenever possible! This week, we host our annual Summer Camp from August 12-14, bringing together our friends for one last hoorah during the summer months before the programming year – and school! – kicks into high gear.

On Monday, friends enjoyed a trip to The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. Thanks to the Zoo for its invitation to enjoy an inclusive and accessible day learning about nature and animals together! Tuesday took our friends to the Carnegie Science Center, and Wednesday will bring a trip to Frick Park for outdoor games. Our camp program reunites friends who have been busy over the summer and allows all of us to celebrate another fun season of Friendship Circle programming and the friendships it supports.

Our adult friends also enjoyed outdoor fun this summer, most recently with Venture Outdoors, who guided us in a day of kayaking on the Allegheny River. The Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh looks forward to another year of exciting activities for friends of all ages and abilities!
